Frimley Embankment -
"The Frimley Embankment Tapes"
A few days ago a package arrived at Tuluum Shimmering Records HQ in a plain mailer with no return address. It contained only a vintage reel of audio tape in its box, along with a loose slightly crumpled picture of a train with hand drawn lettering reading "FRIMLEY EMBANKMENT". The tape itself is marked "FRIMLEY 1-8-72 MONO". It would appear to be a raw audio document of a studio session by a band called Frimley Embankment in 1972. I can find no information about any group of this name, so all we can go on at this point is the internal evidence on the tape. From the accents the group would appear to be from the south west of England. Hampshire, and more particularly the Andover region seem a possibility. If anyone has any information about the group, or indeed knows the current whereabouts of any of its members, we at TSR would love to know. The tape is here presented in full. Sincerest thanks to our mystery benefactor.
